Hetman’s
Hlukhiv Region:
Digital Reproduction of
Historical Sites and Traditions

About the Project
The project is implemented by Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University with the financial support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation within the framework of the program “Culture. Regions” (Lot 2“Reintegration through Culture”). This initiative is strategically important for promoting knowledge about the Hlukhiv period in the history of the Hetmanate, preserving the region’s historical memory, and fostering reintegration through culture.
The project brings together cultural heritage, digital technologies, interactive teaching methods, and historical reconstructions, creating an innovative format for preserving and popularizing the history of Hlukhiv region. The primary goal is to preserve and digitally reproduce Hlukhiv’s rich heritage in the face of potential damage or destruction, to study and promote the history of Hlukhiv, to support cultural reintegration of society, and to strengthen regional and national cultural identity. This will be achieved by creating a multifunctional cultural and artistic product that combines historical reconstructions and artistic events; a digital collection of unique monuments; the activities of the cultural and educational hub and the youth group at the NGO “Cossack Club ‘Harda’”.
